The city of Waterford, Ireland is home to the birthplace of Waterford Crystal. Although that may be the first thing people think of when they hear the name, the city may actually be more famous for its festivals. Many are located within walking distance of your accommodation. The Spraoi Festival is by far one of the biggest. It takes place in the city center each summer and attracts 80,000 people to its streets and hotels.

This event showcases concerts, parades, outdoor music and art. Starting in 2009, the city implemented many more family friendly events.
